Careba is a power engineering company providing full service engineering, detailed design and on-site support to power plant operators, power plant developers, industrial facility operators, equipment manufacturers, contractors and power distribution utilities.

Careba was formed in 2001 and has maintained a core group of people who have worked together for many years. Our staff level has consistently been 30 full-time people and numerous part-time consultants, located in our main office in Westwood, Massachusetts. Careba is a flexible and quick-hitting organization steeped in the culture of the EPC power industry. Careba has extensive experience with the engineering and design of major power generation, distribution and transmission projects, many of those done on a fast-track basis for the EPC contractor. The depth of experience in power engineering and project management in a small, flexible firm is unique, and Careba is recognized for providing responsive, quality services to our clients.

Careba has its roots in the engineering departments of Chas. T. Main a renowned power engineering firm in Boston which was acquired by Parsons, forming Parsons Main. The principals of Careba held leadership positions in the Parsons Main engineering operations, and over the course of dozens of years the principals led many successful engineering and turnkey power projects.

Principals:
- Larry Sullivan, PE
Mr. Sullivan is one of three founding principals at Careba Power Engineers, LLC. He has over 30 years of diverse project, operations and engineering management experience in domestic and international power generation. Mr. Sullivan has extensive experience with coal fired power plants including pulverized coal and circulating fluidized bed type designs, as well as combustion turbine based simple cycle and combined cycle projects.

- Nizom Ghantous, PE
Mr. Ghantous has over 30 years of experience in engineering and design of power plants, substations, transmission and distribution systems. His power experience includes both domestic and international projects including combined cycle and simple cycle plants, conventional oil fired and coal fired plants. His substation experience includes several GIS substation projects, and high voltage underground cable installations, solid dielectric type, gas filled type and fluid filled type.

- John Davenport, PE
Mr. Davenport has over 20 years of experience in engineering, construction, start-up and testing of power generation facilities. His experience has involved managing all phases of projects form initial project development through start-up and testing. He has executed lump sum turnkey contracts for both domestic and international projects ranging in size from 15MW to 750 MW.
